black & ginger

This is round two of Hadyn Black’s single vineyard Shirazes, this time from one of the oldest wine districts of Australia, where Shiraz has been grown for over 150 years.

The wine waves the Great Western flag high. Subtle yet persistent, and closer in style to Vienne than to Yarra. Nice deep colour, and inviting aromas, lovely sweet spices dancing at the edges of the raspberry like red fruit notes, before bowing out with fine tannins.

Current vintage is 2016. Vegan friendly.
